Okay, I am not much a single photo scrapper. I usually take more than one photo per occasion that I scrapbook. This photo is the exception. Well actually it is not. You should see the proceeding 10 photos before I got this halfway decent one. None the less this was the only suitable one. I was trying to get a "self portrait" photo of me and the three kids. This was the best one out of the session.
This is a layout that I did out of the Detour line from Glitz Designs. The Glitz girls (except Laura. We missed you Laura) were in LA for the weekend to teach classes at local scrapbook stores. I had the opportunity to briefly sit in one of the classes that they were teaching. And this was one of the layouts that they taught. I did add to it a little, but the basic layout inspiration was from the class. I really wanted to go to other classes, but alas, motherly familial duties got in my way.
This layout took all of 30 minutes to completely put together. I love my Cricut Expression machine, but there is something to be said about premade embellishments and letters. They are fast! And the Glitz girls base their products on that. To make fast scrapbook pages.
Face it, I would love to spend hours on a layout. And sometimes I do, but the fact is, you just can't beat a 30 minute layout. Hope you like it!
