Flyin' high with Imaginisce and Core'dinations

Several weeks ago I took my oldest and my youngest to a kite festival in a nearby town. I managed to get some pretty fantastic photos while we were there and I have even shown them to you already. In fact, one of the photos got picked up to be in an online article for Creating Keepsakes. And I did not even know until it was published. Crazy, huh? So let me show you what I did with those photos.

This week Imaginisce and Core'dinations are having a week long blog swap with the DT's. I talked about it yesterday some, so today I would like to continue with it. Today I am showing a layout that I did with the core essentials cardstock from Core'dinations. What is so cool about this paper is that it has an inner color core that "coredinates" with the outer color. So you can sand it, tear it, emboss it or just leave it unfinished like I did.

I really like how this layout turned out. And I even used my new favorite tool, the irock. Do you think I got carried away with the gems a little bit. It seems to be addicting, so consider yourself warned. LOL!

So don't forget to hope on over to the Just Imagine blog or the Core'dinations blog to check out other great projects that the DT's are doing.

Oh, and in case you are wondering, (I have been previously asked), Yes, the kite is free handed. I sketched it out and then cut the pieces of cardstock out and made a slight mat on the kite.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is really great, Heather! Love your kite and the enlarged photos!
